Singer, songwriter, composer, multi-instrumentalist, producer, Walter ‘Luís Nunes’ Benjamin was born on 1985, in Lisbon, on the same date as Bob Dylan. Though his musical references (Cohen, Beatles, Beach Boys, Beck, Tom Jobim, Yo La Tengo…) are multiple the result is very quite unique.

“The Imaginary Life of Rosemary and Me” released in 2012 on Pataca Discos is a fascinating set of songs written and recorded between the cozyness of a room during a London winter and the heat of the 15A Studio on hot summer Lisbon.

Between 2008 and 2011 Walter Benjamin plays in several bands (namely: Jesus, The Misunderstood); releases a couple of Eps: “Ice Cream And Swinging Lettuce” (with Baga, 2009), “The Last Summer Before Our Youth” (with João Correia, 2010) and takes part on the collective behind the defunkt Merzbau label, where he releases his first album: “The National Crisis”. From 2009 to 2013 WB lives in London, where he studies Sound Engineering, co-founds Roman Road Records, and, among several concerts in Europe, plays on the mythic Zurich's Cabaret Voltaire.

Either as a musician and/or producer he has collaborated with B Fachada, Noiserv, Jakob Bazora, Márcia, Minta & the Brook Trout, They’re Heading West, You Can't Win Charlie Brown, Julie & The Carjackers, The Geffen Brothers.
